On behalf of The Faculty of Military Pharmacy, Republic of Indonesia Defense University, I would like to welcome you to the 3rd International Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences and Military Pharmacy (ICOPMAP). This conference is scheduled on October 6th – 7th, 2023 by virtual format meeting.
Following the success of the first and second international conferences, we will hold a hybrid conference on “The Role of Pharmacy in Biosecurity and Biodefense Perspective to Encounter Emergencies“. Along with this, the Faculty of Military Pharmacy became one of the supporters of the establishment of Global Level Health Emergency Training supervised by the Republic of Indonesia Defense University in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO). The existence of the Faculty of Military Pharmacy as a military reinforcement in the pharmaceutical field by determining the development of defense personnel in the health sector is one of the priorities in dealing with threats to national defense and security. Therefore, particular fields of study are needed by human resources who are trained and have specific expertise so that the role of health workers, especially pharmacists, can be optimally implemented.
Pharmacists could serve in various emergency roles. When an emergency demands it, pharmacists prepare for and respond to shortages and other pharmaceutical-related challenges that may arise during and after emergencies, requiring resource allocation and crisis care strategies. In the scientific session, we will divide all of the participants into groups: Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biology Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacology and Biomedical Science, Clinical Pharmacy, as well as Military Pharmacy.
ICOPMAP is a translation of our commitment to the development of pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy, and military pharmacy. The conference is also aimed to establish collaborative cooperation with scholars and practitioners from all over the world. Moreover, ICOPMAP is supported by distinguished speakers in plenary and scientific sessions from other leading universities overseas and the pharmaceutical industries. Therefore, it will not only gain international recognition but also have a greater impact on the quality of life of nations. I am certain that ICOPMAP will be a monumental event in the collaborative era to overcome this pandemic situation by achieving global health resilience.
We invite all the undergraduate cadets in The Republic of Indonesia Defense University, military pharmacy practitioners, pharmacists from pharmaceutical industries, community and clinical pharmacist, lecturer, pharmacy students, and researcher to be a presenter and participants in this conference. We also facilitated the presenters who would publish their findings. We have agreement collaboration with several journals indexed Scopus and SINTA.
Although we cannot meet in person this time, you will receive a warm and interactive virtual welcome from all committees. I sincerely hope you will join us in this exciting conference and make great strides in our collaboration to achieve global health resilience.
Look forward to e-meet you all soon.
